It was only December 2021 that I had this madcap idea that I wanted to open a shop, a shop on TikTok of all places.  It had been met with some raised eyebrows from my partner, but he said he trusted me and believed I knew what I was doing. Throughout the next six weeks I researched products, I watched hours of Tiktok live streams, I became a channel mod for a crystal shop in China, that was before Crystal Gate 2022 happened when myself and my fellow female mods ceremoniously quit working with them due to the way we were treated. The one thing that I vowed, when my business was up and running and I was doing my live shows, I would be so very grateful of my Moderators and the support they give me and make sure that I am able to return the favour to them in some way.  This was one of the first lessons learned from dealing with what we refer to as “Clockface”.

On 1st February 2022 I launched CraftyVixenUK. I had my first stock delivery, I planned a 6-hour live show where I got 100,000 likes, had over 4000 viewers come in and out of my live show, with the highest number recorded at 41, gained 37 new followers, and best of all, made 13 sales.  Not bad for my first night!  I was however completely and utterly broken once the camera switched off. I have a number of health issues and I can mask my pain and how I am feeling with the best of them, but I will not be doing a 6-hour marathon like that any time soon. If I do, I need a better chair! Even though I went to bed rattling with painkillers, my mind was buzzing, I needed to grow the business and I have only been open 24 hours.

The following week, the website was launched.  I have done web design and marketing for many years but not an E-commerce website so this was a new beast to conquer.  72 hours later and the website was live with its 500+ products and I could rest easy again, phew. The Discord community server went live, more live events on TikTok, more sales made and I still needed more.  You may have realised by now when I start a project, I do not like to do things in small measures. Plenty of shopping around, more looking at various lives on TikTok and seeing what the trends are and what the crystal and witchtok markets are doing, as well as consulting with my little focus group I have on whatsapp – They live in the fox hole!

Today is 16th February 2022, and my 5th stock order has just arrived, along with specialised furniture for the office to store it all in.  I have not unpacked it all yet, we need to actually sort the office out and make space in there so I can set up my corner of the house full of all the pretty bits of stock, my packing station and also where I can do my live broadcasts too.  The stock that I have got in is really great, and I am so excited to get it listed ready for the weekend, when I will be going live from 9pm on Saturday and Sunday via TikTok on CraftyVixenUK and possibly on Discord.  Another parcel is on its way, all the way from Hawaii, of the most beautiful suncatchers, I am sure people will love these. But, guess what? I have spent most of my afternoon looking at other stock options as I still know there is more that I want to offer people and I have more to give.  I have to remind myself, that we have not even been open a month and come this far, I am sure that more stock can wait, at least a few weeks, or a week?
